Our last normal week is done! The next few are going to go by so fast. We are so proud of your performances this weekend! Parents, I hope you enjoyed your students' performances! Thank you so much to the parents and volunteers who came out to help us this weekend!

Communication/Updates: For parent communication, please sign up for notifications through Parent Square. Most of our short-form communication (arrivals/departures/updates) will be through Parent Square which is connected to Skyward. Once the game is over, a notification will be sent out. Please be at the school to pick up your student at least 20 minutes after arrival time. Please do not park in the bus lane for pick-up after rehearsals or events.

Props: Thank you so much to our families that came out to help us with the props and especially Amanda and Scott Brown, Jessica and Karl Tolmie, Carmen Villa and Thelma Hauck! I had several people tell me how big a difference they make on the field! 

Important: Book for band class: This year we are again using the Habit’s of a Successful Musician book in our band classes. Most families have already done so, but if you have yet to purchase one for your child please do so at this link. While the book can be found on Amazon and other sites, many students pursued that last year only to receive the incorrect instrument book. Please purchase directly from the GIA Publications website to ensure you receive the correct instrument book.

If you ordered a yard sign, I’m so sorry for the delay. The company is local, but have been very frustrating to work with. They have also not been great at responding to my calls and emails. When I first asked for an update, I got the impression they forgot our order, then they made the wrong signs and I was told “they’re very busy”, which is not an excuse for bad business. 

I hope to get an update tomorrow.

DO NOT PARK IN THE BUS LANE FOR PICKUPS AND DROP OFFS - The band crosses back and forth. This is a danger to them. Pass the word.

KVUE’s Banda de la Semana

Padres (especialmente padres de estudiantes de primer año), ¡están invitados a unirse a nosotros en cada evento! Vengan a unirse a nosotros y vean de primera mano todo lo que se necesita para dirigir esta banda. ¡También es una gran oportunidad para conocer a otros padres de bandas! Como siempre, llámenme o envíenme un mensaje de texto directamente si necesitan algo.

En caso de que se lo hayan perdido:

Si ordenaron un cartel para el jardín, lamento mucho la demora. La empresa es local, pero ha sido muy frustrante trabajar con ellos. Tampoco han sido muy buenos para responder mis llamadas y correos electrónicos. Cuando pedí una actualización por primera vez, tuve la impresión de que se olvidaron de nuestro pedido, luego hicieron los carteles incorrectos y me dijeron "están muy ocupados", lo que no es excusa para un mal negocio.
