Hello EVPB Family!
It’s crazy to think that there are just THREE MORE WEEKS until Spring Break. While not every student is involved in all of our coming events, we do have quite a few things going on between now and then. Please check below to see all things happening between now and then.
Also, a huge thank you to those who came out this past Saturday to our Middle School Social. We had a great time playing some games in the gym, especially when the directors get involved in dodgeball.
Our Red Poppy Color Guard received 2nd place at their last show! A huge congrats to that group of young people for representing our program well!

Surveys for Students
We have ONE survey for students to complete. We ask that ONLY STUDENTS complete these surveys. This form will be locked at 7 pm.
Band Fees
Please make sure you are paying your band fees. We have, currently, over $40,000 in outstanding band fees ($33,000 of which are from just this year). Please login to your BoosterHub account and check on invoices. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me, see contact information at the end of this newsletter

Solo and Ensemble
We have TWO Solo and Ensemble events coming up!
This Saturday, February 28, is our UIL Solo and Ensemble taking place at Pflugerville. Please check this schedule for times. (schedule will post here by 7 pm today)
Next Saturday, March 7, is our District solo and ensemble. Those who do not attend UIL MUST attend our District event. This event will run 9am-1pm, and specific performance times for each student will be released in the coming week. If you have a conflict and need to perform at a specific time that day, please communicate with Ms. Johnson.

Upon picking up your child from events, please either park in the lot in front of the school OR in the car rider pick-up lane. DO NOT use the bus lane, as we need to keep it clear for our buses AND for students to transport instruments safely from the truck to the band room.
Concert/Important Dates
Below are our concert/parades dates for the year. Please mark these on your calendar. Students MUST attend all concerts/parades and concert rehearsals. Please check the calendar for marching contests and football dates, as those are also mandatory.

- Percussion Concert - Thursday, February 26 @ 7pm in EVHS Auditorium, student call time 4:30pm (dress is black dress shoes, colorful socks, black slacks and belt, any solid color dress shirt), doors open to audience at 6:30pm

¡Hola, familia de EVPB!
Es increíble pensar que solo faltan tres semanas para las vacaciones de primavera. Si bien no todos los estudiantes participan en todos nuestros próximos eventos, tenemos bastantes cosas que hacer hasta entonces. Consulten a continuación para ver todo lo que sucederá hasta entonces.
Además, muchas gracias a quienes asistieron el sábado pasado a nuestra fiesta de secundaria. Nos divertimos mucho jugando en el gimnasio, especialmente cuando los directores juegan al balón prisionero.
¡Nuestra escolta de la Amapola Roja obtuvo el segundo lugar en su último espectáculo! ¡Felicitaciones a ese grupo de jóvenes por representar tan bien a nuestro programa!

Por favor, asegúrense de pagar las cuotas de su banda. Actualmente tenemos más de $40,000 en cuotas pendientes (de los cuales $33,000 corresponden solo a este año). Solo y Conjunto
¡Tenemos dos eventos de Solista y Conjunto próximamente!
Este sábado, 28 de febrero, se llevará a cabo nuestro evento de Solista y Conjunto de la UIL en Pflugerville. Consulten este calendario para conocer los horarios.
El próximo sábado, 7 de marzo, se llevará a cabo nuestro evento de Solista y Conjunto Distrital. Quienes no asistan a la UIL DEBEN asistir a nuestro evento distrital. Este evento se llevará a cabo de 9:00 a. m. a 1:00 p. m., y los horarios específicos de las presentaciones para cada estudiante se publicarán la próxima semana. Si tienen algún problema y necesitan presentarse a una hora específica ese día, comuníquese con la Sra. Johnson.

Al recoger a su hijo/a de los eventos, por favor, estacione en el estacionamiento frente a la escuela o en el carril reservado para recoger a los pasajeros en automóvil. NO use el carril del autobús, ya que debemos mantenerlo despejado para que nuestros autobuses y los estudiantes transporten sus instrumentos de forma segura desde el camión hasta la sala de la banda.
Concierto/Fechas importantes
A continuación se muestran las fechas de nuestros conciertos/desfiles del año. Por favor, anótenlas en su calendario. Los estudiantes DEBEN asistir a todos los conciertos/desfiles y ensayos de conciertos. Por favor, consulten el calendario para conocer las fechas de los concursos de marcha y fútbol, ya que también son obligatorios.
