Hello EVPB Family!  

Happy post Spring Break! I hope all of you were able to rest a little over this break.With just a few weeks until UIL, I encourage everybody to stay up to date on our Calendar and reach out to a director with questions. There are many events taking place in a very short amount of time.

We had a great time with our kids at Disney, and they got to record some great music! I will be able to show it in class, but unfortunately due to copyright restrictions  we are not allowed to share it any other way. Our Red Poppy guard also had a great season! Even though they did not advance to area, they had a great final run and a fantastic season! Congratulations to all!

Pre-UIL

Pre-UIL is quickly approaching! Our Pre-UIL is at the Klett Performing Arts Center at GHS on Thursday, April 2nd.

ALL band students will need to be at EVHS by 7:40 am for an 8 am departure. ALL students will travel together that day. We will have a late lunch at Wolf Ranch. Parents are welcome to come and support their students!! (note. You may be asked to “sign-in” as a visitor per GISD policy, please have your ID ready and arrive early.)

We are having a Fundraiser Reward Picnic. This picnic is for students only. Please fill out THIS FORM and read the details within. 

Board Recognition 

On Monday, March 23, all of those that are advancing to State for Solo and Ensemble will be recognized at the Board Meeting. Soloists must arrive by 6:30 and be dressed in EV Band gear. Those in an ensemble will perform prior to the board meeting. Please arrive by 6:10 with your instrument and ensemble music.

BAND PICNIC!! 10 am to 2 pm

Upon picking up your child from events, please either park in the lot in front of the school OR in the car rider pick-up lane. DO NOT use the bus lane, as we need to keep it clear for our buses AND for students to transport instruments safely from the truck to the band room.

Below are our concert/parades dates for the year. Please mark these on your calendar. Students MUST attend all concerts/parades and concert rehearsals. Please check the calendar for marching contests and football dates, as those are also mandatory.
